If you’re about to retire or are newly retired, you can enroll in the Federal Employees Dental and Vision Insurance Program (FEDVIP) during the federal benefits Open Season from November 13, 2023 through December 11, 2023 for coverage starting January 1, 2024.

Enrollment in the Federal Employees Dental and Vision Insurance Program (FEDVIP) takes place during Federal Benefits Open Season, which usually runs from the second Monday in November through the second Monday in December each year. If open season has ended, you must be newly eligible or have experienced a qualifying life event (QLE) in order to enroll in FEDVIP.. Otherwise, the next opportunity for you to enroll in FEDVIP dental coverage will be during the next Federal Benefits Open Season.
