Once again, Middlebrook School has been named a CT School of Distinction by the Connecticut State Department of Education . We are incredibly proud of our students, and grateful to our amazing teachers and administration for their dedication to academic excellence.
Middlebrook School, in partnership with the Trumbull Public School system and the local community, strives to meet the educational needs of all students within a challenging and supportive academic environment that empowers each student to become a life-long learner and to live and participate in a democratic, diverse and global society.
The Wing Scholarship Fund has been established to support a Trumbull High School graduate, who was promoted from 5th grade at Middlebrook Elementary School. The recipient of the scholarship will be a candidate who meets the required qualifications based on P.A.W.S. - displays a Positive Attitude, Acts Responsibly, Works with heart, and Shows respect.
Dedicated in 1953, Middlebrook Elementary School was named to honor a Trumbull Revolutionary War hero, Lt. Ephraim Middlebrook. During the time of the American Revolution, Lt. Middlebrook served under General George Washington at the siege in New York in 1776. In April 1777, while under the leadership of General Benedict Arnold, Middlebrook was killed at the Battle of Ridgefield. We are thankful to the 1953 building committee who chose our name to honor this American hero.
