Marshall High graduate
achieves highest level for national assessment

MARSHALL • Jacob Renzelman, a recent Marshall High School graduate, achieved platinum level on the National Career Readiness Certificate assessment, the highest of levels making him the first in Marshall to achieve the honor.

However, Renzelman, who had taken a lot of tests in his years as a student, didn't fully realize the importance of his achievement.

"To be honest, at first I wasn't quite sure how big it was," Renzelman said. ". I just thought, it's cool I can put it on my resumé. Maybe it'll help me get a job." Read more.

Four counties approved for Certified Work Ready Community 'In Progress' status

The Show Me State's Certified Work Ready Community numbers continue to bloom as four new counties were approved as "In Progress" status by the Missouri Workforce Investment Board in July. Audrain, Benton, Pulaski and St. Charles counties were approved, bringing the number of counties in Missouri participating in the Certified Work Ready Community initiative to 43. Read more.
